Marie Oppert is joining the Company of the Comédie-Française in April 2022 as "pensionnaire".

Marie Oppert is making her cinema debut in the movie Tenor by Claude Zidi Jr.
The VOD, DVD and Blu-Ray of the movie are now available.

Marie Oppert is named a Weill/Lenya Artist of the Kurt Weill Foundation for her role as Polly in the new production of The Threepenny Opera directed by Thomas Ostermeier opening in Festival Aix en Provence in July 2023.
ABOUT
Since her praised debut at age 17 in the lead role of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg at the Theatre du Chatelet alongside Natalie Dessay and Michel Legrand (dir. Vincent Vittoz), Marie Oppert pursues her studies in Musical Theatre at Marymount Manhattan College in New York with a Fulbright grant. Back in France, she follows a classical voice training with Chantal Mathias and enters Natalie Becue’s class at the Conservatory XIV of Paris in Drama.
In 2017, she won the Interpretation Award of the International Singing Competition of Marseille (operetta category) and Lotte Lenya Competition’s Special Award and Trustee Award in 2020 of the Kurt Weill Foundation. In 2021, Marie is nominated as « lyrical artist revelation » at the Victoires of Classical Music Awards.

Marie Oppert has interpreted the lead role of Peau d’Ane at the Theatre Marigny (dir. Emilio Sagi), Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, (dir. Barrie Kosky) at National Opera du Rhin, Maria in West Side Story and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady at Orleans' Arena Hall, Juliet in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet (dir. Yann-Joël Collin, Theatre des Champs Elysees), Johanna in Sweeney Todd at the Reims Opera, Lucile in Quand La Guerre Sera Finie at Avignon Festival OFF, Monique in the operetta Un Soir de Reveillon (Les Brigands company), Louise in The Musketeers at the Convent (Theatre Odeon of Marseille), Aglaia Ivanovna in Dostoievsky’s The Idiot, (Theatre 14 of Paris / Avignon Festival OFF) and the roles of Miranda and Gonzalo in Shakespeare’s The Tempest (dir. Sandrine Anglade) on a french national tour.
Marie Oppert is regularly invited to sing in concerts in prestigious venues in Paris such as the Opera-Comique, Salle Pleyel, Theatre du Chatelet, Olympia, Theatre Champs-Elysees, Grand Rex, Radio France, Bal Blomet at the Crazy Coqs in London and at Birdland in New York. She has lent her voice to the main character in musical tales such as Georgia by Timothée de Fombelle (Gallimard Jeunesse) and Siam (Flammarion Jeunesse) with Ensemble Contraste.
Under exclusive contract with Warner Classics, her first solo album Enchantée recorded with National Lille Symphonic Orchestra and conducted by Nicholas Skilbeck came out in September 2020.
She makes her cinema debut in the movie Tenor directed by Claude Zidi Jr. to be released in May 2022.
Marie Oppert joins the Company of the Comédie-Française as pensionnaire in April 2022.
